Chubs came to save her, though, and he threw Clancy into the shelves with his ability. Clancy lured Ruby out to one of the storage rooms, where she thought she could fight him, but he ended up getting the best of her. They had had a fight with Clancy, in which Liam ended up being badly injured. The second time was when Ruby, Zu, Chubs, and Liam went to East River. They were arguing with each other, and they both used their telekinetic abilities on each other, before Ruby came out of the van and asked them to stop, thinking they were actually arguing about whether or not to get rid of her. The first time was when he and Liam were arguing whether or not to get rid of Black Betty (their minivan).

However, he used his telekinetic power only three times throughout the series. Throughout the entire book series, he is Blue, like Liam. There is a lot of confusion as to what colour Chubs is in the books. Ruby never tries to influence or read Chub's thoughts, but she once accidentally slips into his mind as she does with many others, when he is shot and she sees a glimpse of his memories. His loyalty to his friends is very strong as is shown in how he strives to protect Liam, Zu, and Ruby (once he warms up to her).Ĭhubs seems to have an immunity to Orange powers since Clancy Gray's influence does not seem to affect him. He finds it difficult to trust people he just met as is evidenced when he meets Ruby and Vida for the first time. They stay together avoiding PSFs and skip tracers and eventually meet Ruby Daly.Ĭhubs is a very loyal friend, but has a hard time with meeting new people.
